This shop takes a lot of hard work to bake all we do and keep the cases full for you. My employees are very special to me and have become part of my family. Without them, their talents, hard work and dedication this shop wouldn’t be where we are today. I just want to put a name with the faces you see everyday. 😀This is Sally and she was the first one hired several years ago. This girl has magic fingers and has rolled so many THOUSANDS of perfect pie crusts; she can seriously roll them with her eyes closed! She is always positive, always ready for hugs and is a true joy to work with. She loves her cats and you can always find her singing or dancing while she rolls. ❤️

I have the best group of young people helping this shop crank out pie after pie. This week’s featured employee is Tyler but many of you have probably never seen much of him due to the very EARLY hours he keeps. Tyler came to the shop our very first Thanksgiving in 2015, actually before we were ever open but still overwhelmed by the sheer amount of orders then. He is my “sleeper” baker meaning the boy had absolutely no experience but has easily learned so much. He is now a very talented baker and is also in charge of mixing/weighing all our dough used every single day. He does this on top of his assigned pies baked daily. He is a sweet soul and also our resident comedian adding fun to our early routines. Tyler is our diamond in the rough and I’m very glad he’s a part of our team.

This week’s pie family ❤️ spotlight is Ellie. Ellie walked in the shop 2 years ago looking for a job. Back then we were new but growing and I wasn’t sure I needed another baker. Something inside me told me I needed her and thank goodness I listened! She is a gem. This girl is honestly the scone queen! If you haven’t tasted her scones, tarts, rolls, double doozies, quiche or puff pastries, well then sorry, you haven’t lived. She is a genius at flavor combos and is extremely creative. The running joke at the shop is, “we need a new scone sign made because Ellie got bored.” She has a heart of gold and our pie family is enriched because of her. I hope you will try a scone this week if you haven’t, they are the best around. Of course, I’m partial to the savory scones and the ricotta & tomato puff pastries. All of these kids you’ve met thus far are so incredibly important to me and my business. I’ve said it a million times before, we would not be in the position of growth today without any of them. Their dedication, the long and sometimes grueling hours, their ideas, their energy has truly enriched this shop.

I can’t leave my mom out of our team spotlight; her cookies are famous around here as well as her unique cookies and bars. But here are some things you don’t know about her. She retired and relocated to NWA about 6 months after I opened the shop. Since I don’t currently live here, I stay with her 5 nights a week. She is my rock here and I’m so lucky to have her. She gives so much time to this shop sharing her magic in baking but also in her green thumb. ( Remember her white pumpkins with succulents for fall? Those were a huge hit.) Her passions are her grandkids, designing her gardens and flowerbeds, her hundreds of Day Lilies and a good book. She is the “cool shop grandmother” and we are all lucky to have her be a part of our team.

Meet Jaime. This picture accurately describes her personality too! She has been a part of the team for 1 1/2 years and manages the Rogers shop. Jaime always has a smile to greet you and is always ready and willing to jump in and help. She has been known to also help peel hundreds and hundreds of apples around holiday time. She is a sweetheart and we are so thankful to have her on our team. I’ve said it over and over. These kids you’ve met so far are just such a necessity to this shop and I am so fortunate to have this group of young, creative and hardworking people. ❤️ Plus they help keep me sane!

Meet our youngest member of the team, Chloe. 😀We all lovingly call her “sweet, little Chloe.” She graduated from BHS and will sadly leave us for college in Colorado this August. Chloe is going to go far in life. She has a very good eye for photography and graphic design along with loads of creativity. She has also designed our soon to be gift cards! She is really the most grounded, level headed and mature person for someone her age. I am so lucky to have this sweet thing in the shop. 😍 She always serves up pie with her sweet smile. Notice how the word “sweet” pops up a lot?

Meet Alex. She is the manager and face of my Fayetteville shop and I am very lucky to have her. 😍 Alex grew up in Finland and to hear her speak her native language is beautiful. For someone of her age, she is so poised and level headed. Alex is the calm in my world of crazy! She has traveled extensively but has found a home here in Fayetteville. I am so thankful she is in my pie family and running the shop I hold so dear. I’ve said it many, many times; I truly have the BEST team. ❤️
